The museum of contemporary art in Antwerp, M HKA, has invited Electric Shadows to curate a film program in parallel with their exhibition ‘EURASIA − A Landscape of Mutability‘. For four months, we dive into Eurasian connections and confrontations in a series of screenings – both features and short film programs – at De Cinema.
There’s no more poignant filmmaker to open SILK ROAD SIDEWAYS. LOOKING AT EURASIA than Sergei Parajanov, whose mini retrospective is joined by Orphea, Alexander Kluge and Khavn’s latest collaboration. Up until January, we explore thoughts and shapes travelling the vast Eurasian continent, accompanied by René Viénet, Toshio Matsumoto, Ann Hui, Chantal Akerman, Anocha Suwichakornpong, Ben Rivers and many others.
We’ll be seeing you.
